When you feel like you are being watched, it’s not just a feeling; there is a deep meaning behind it. Before seeing the reasons, let’s see who will be watching you. There are two kinds of people who will watch you: your well-wishers and your haters. Well-wishers will look up to you for inspiration and guidance. Haters, on the other hand, will look for flaws in you to make them happy. You don’t have to be conscious of people watching you; just concentrate on your work.

Some studies say that the feeling of being watched originates in the visual system. You may feel it because of various reasons. Some of them are:

  • you may feel guilty about what you are doing.
  • you are nervous or not confident about something.
  • you are feeling lonely.
  • when you watch more horror movies.
  • when you are more sensitive to slight movements.
  • when you feel insecure.

People will not always stare at you, but this is just a trick of your mind. So don’t get tricked by your brain. Sometimes it may be true for someone whose subconscious mind is very sharp because of something called the sixth sense.

If you feel watched too often, you can try doing some meditation or yoga. It makes you feel relaxed. The easiest way is to just get over with it, without considering giving yourself some self-love. If you feel worse, get help from a doctor.
